Objective
To increase natural light quality and availability inside the office space for employees.
Background
New Process Steel is a carbon steel processing and manufacturing company. They transitioned their office to an existing metal warehouse that was on their current site location. NPS asked to bring in high quality, natural daylight to their renovated office.
Solution
Kalwall façade with vertically oriented panels at a .29 “u” factor. Some panels transmit light into the building while
others are used to continue the aesthetic of the large clerestory.
Result
The translucent panel Kalwall system allowed natural light to diffuse into the office area improving employee attitude, health, attendance, and work productivity. Significant energy savings were achieved by allowing the office to limit artificial lighting during the daytime.
